Share about your journey with yoga

My yoga journey began over 10 years ago but it wasn’t until I committed to Radiant in 2019 that my yoga journey began to blossom especially after doing teacher training. There are times I may not make it to my mat but every time I do it brings me back to the present, centers and grounds me. The Radiant sequence, music, and never ending sweat makes you feel alive and there’s nothing like it.

Can you describe a memorable moment or experience you’ve had being part of the family?

I’ve had so many memorable moments with my Radiant family but my top moment would have to be Darlene’s beautiful wedding. She gives so much love and energy to Radiant and many yogis everyday so seeing her receive all the love from her wonderful husband Chad and all those closest to her made my heart smile.

Do you have a favorite yoga pose or sequence? Why is it your favorite?

My favorite part of the Radiant sequence is the spinal series but my favorite yoga pose would have to be wild thing. Every time I practice this pose I feel energized, vibrant and alive. It’s a great heart opener back bend that really stretches the body and makes me feel an instant mind body connection.

Who or what inspires you in your yoga journey?

My friend Tessie inspires me on my yoga journey. She’s one fearless and strong woman who has endured so much in life but her love for life, how giving she is at the studio and seeing how much of a dedicated yogi she is motivates me.

What do you enjoy doing outside of yoga?

I love cooking, spending time in nature, being with loved ones, and finding new ways of moving and improving.

Can you share a fun fact about yourself that others might not know?

I go to Joshua Tree to boulder, hike, and star gaze a lot.

How you became a part of Radiant Hot Yoga?

I became a part of Radiant back in 2019 when I was on the 405 and saw a big Radiant Hot Yoga sign. I had practiced at other studios but none truly captivated me. It wasn’t until I signed up for some classes at Radiant and was mind blown of how amazing I felt after. The invigorating mix of Radiant’s heat, sequence, music, and people are what captivated me and it didn’t take long to realize I had found my home studio and never looked back.

What is your favorite part of being a part of the yoga community?

My favorite part of the yoga community are the open hearts and open minds that people have. There are so many different people that come in to the studio from different walks of life all going through different things but we are all united here as one. We’re all here for one thing which is to feel Radiant at Radiant and it’s even more special to do that with like minded good people around you.
