A graduate of the Hungarian Dance Academy, Zsolt Banki is a fitness instructor with an international career in dance. After receiving his degree in classical, jazz, folk, and theatrical dance, Zsolt was voted Best Hungarian Dancer of the 2007 Pécs International Dance Festival and he was the main choreographer for the So You Think You Can Dance TV show in Hungary.
Zsolt has had the pleasure of performing with the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company, American Contemporary Ballet, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre, West Coast Ballet and the LA Opera, among others. Some of Zsolt’s favorite experiences include training with world-renown choreographer Jorma Uoutien and working with New York’s Mark Morris in his Dance for Parkinson’s Disease project.
In early 2015, Zsolt became a certified Cardio Barre instructor and began teaching fitness inspired by ballet and pilates movement in studios across Los Angeles and Orange County. As a teacher, Zsolt is recognized for his unique attention to detail.
It is important to understand that we are all individuals and our bodies develop in different ways. Details are key to heightening our awareness and enriching the connection between our minds and our bodies.”
As a certified Barre and Pilates instructor, Zsolt now conducts a variety of classes at the popular Equinox fitness company, as well as maintaining his teaching position with Cardio Barre. Using the diversity of his experience and his passion for movement, Zsolt Banki now dedicates himself to helping others shift towards a stronger, healthier, more full-filled version of themselves, and is excited to be sharing what he’s learned with the Radiant Hot Yoga studios in Newport and Irvine.
