Parie Faridnia is a yoga instructor, psychologist, and play therapist. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology in 2012, and owns and operates a private practice in Irvine, helping individuals of all ages find emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being. After receiving her doctorate in 2012, it was time to focus on learning about herself – Svādhyāya (self-study) – and that same year started practicing at Radiant Hot Yoga. After several years of eagerly and gratefully practicing yoga regularly at Radiant Hot Yoga, she felt called to teach yoga.
In 2016, she received her 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate from Radiant Hot Yoga, along with additional training in power yoga from Core Power Yoga, and trained under Melissa Christensen at Spectra Yoga to receive her yin yoga certification. With the combination of 7 years of clinical psychology graduate study as well as the deep study of the eight limbs of yoga since 2012 as a student and teacher, she integrates all education into each yoga class she teaches. She especially loves teaching yin yoga and finds joy in helping her students learn how to improve their mental and physical flexibility and healing themselves from the inside out.
She enjoys helping her yoga students get to know themselves better – to get in touch with their true selves and achieve things the never thought they could. She is honored as their teacher to be on the path with them of becoming their best self. She loves using humor when she teaches. She believes in “keeping it real” and breaking down yoga, mindfulness, and meditation into real life examples. She aims to be a spark to light her students inner fire, to empower them to truly be themselves, warts and all, one breath at a time.
