I have been practicing yoga for over 7 years but have been an athlete my whole life since I was 5. I played volleyball, softball and track. Yoga has always been a place for me of stillness and silence, and self-reflection.
When I found Radiant Hot Yoga in 2016 on a Groupon search and attended my 1st class, I knew this place was special. It reminded me of my volleyball days with the amount of sweat, hard work and focus required but get into that meditative state that I hadn’t felt since then. I was going through a very difficult time in 2016 leaving my old life that no longer served me and I was looking forward into the future of the unknown. Completely lost, broken, defeated, devastated, and borderline helpless in my direction in life and what was going to happen next.
I kept going to my mat day after day no matter how I felt sad, happy, angry, depressed, energized, weak, strong, etc. it was a place I felt safe, not judged, no competition, no ego. I felt welcomed, supported, and loved. I loved the challenge physically, mentally and spiritually. I regained my self-confidence, self-esteem and had a sense of pride in myself again. I started believing in myself again that I was deserving and capable of achieving and receiving all of the amazing things in life that I desired.
I signed up for teacher training in 2018 at Radiant and that experience completely transformed my trajectory in life. I have worked in the corporate world since I was 18 and always felt very out of place even though I excelled in my positions. I knew that this was my calling to teach others about the amazing benefits of yoga. Achieving clarity in your life purpose, calmness of the breathe, creating peacefulness within, cultivating a healthy mind, body and soul. I knew that this was a passion that I want to help others achieve. I am beyond grateful for all of the amazing teachers that have guided me along the way to this path of yoga. I am so honored each and every time I get to guide my students in the classes. I am filled with so much joy when they let me know how I have helped them to feel loved, inspired, strong, safe, seen, supported, etc.
My heart bows to each and everyone of you Namaste.
