When did you first start doing yoga?
I started with the Radiant series in February 2014 but have been practicing hot yoga for over 7 years.
I can honestly say that it feels like my practice has grown more not only physically, but mentally and spiritually in the past 6 months since coming to RHY then it did starting yoga in 2007.

How has yoga changed your life? (your mood, body, stress level, etc)
Life has become better since I have discovered hot yoga – the air smells fresher, water tastes sweeter and I am happier with myself from the inside out. I am also able to deal with any stressful or difficult situation that comes my way…

Why do you think everyone should try hot yoga?
Yoga is really about finding your true self behind all the layers we put up to protect ourselves against society and the world. You don’t need to worry about anything else when you practice yoga… it is your time to let go and be yourself without any judgement.

What makes Radiant Hot Yoga so special?
RHY is very welcoming and has an amazing energy that you can feel as soon you walk in. The teachers are absolutely the best and most inspiring I have ever experienced and the fellow students are all so friendly and happy to be practicing next to you.
It is not just a yoga studio, but a community/family that has become my safe place… a true sanctuary that is always there for me regardless of whatever is going on in my life.

What advice do you have for new students who want to try hot yoga?
Come in with an open mind and heart… the heat may be intimidating at first, but you will soon find that it becomes a tool to not only open your body, but your soul as well.

What is your favorite posture and why?
Warrior 2 because it makes me feel strong and powerful and the calming effect of half tortoise is amazing… sometimes I feel like I could stay in the pose for hours.
