How Radiant Hot Yoga changed my life... Interview with Tabitha R.

What benefits were you hoping to receive from your yoga practice?

I’ve always been a seeker of a good workout! My sister-in-law brought me to my first hot yoga class, and heavens to Betsy, it was quite the incredible, eye opening experience. I began the practice looking for a challenging workout that was high intensity, yet low impact.

I grew up competing in high level gymnastics which took a toll on my body, so this style of workout is a perfect fit.” – Tabitha

How has yoga and your practice exceeded your expectations?

Originally, I was just looking for a physical workout. I was looking for a type of exercise that I could add to my list of ways to stay in shape.

I now generally do hot yoga exclusively and it’s more than enough to keep not only my body in good health, but my mind as well. I am amazed at how cleansing it has been both internally and externally.” – Tabitha

How has yoga benefitted you off the mat?

Hot yoga has taught me to love who I am. I’ve always struggled with being too hard on myself. When I was a child, it was gymnastics and school, and now as an adult, it’s work and relationships…

I genuinely believe I’m a better girlfriend, aunt, sister, daughter, friend, employee and overall person because of hot yoga. I am now not only taking care of my external body, but I feel I am fueling my soul as well. During and after class I am utterly joyful. Grace and acceptance has become real to me in a whole new way as I have begun to love myself and others better.” – Tabitha

Do you notice a change in your physical, mental, emotional and or spiritual body from a regular yoga practice?

I find myself handling adversity with much more patience and ease. Physically, it has had a great impact on my skin, digestion, and metabolism. I leave yoga feeling refueled and energized.” – Tabitha

Have you tried other styles of yoga? What makes Radiant Hot Yoga your preferred place of practice?

Yes, I have tried many of the other styles but the perfect combination of balancing series with the flow/ “yoga dance party” makes yoga at Radiant my favorite. The music, support, and motivation from the teachers pump me up! As an adult, I believe that it’s rare to find a place like Radiant where the teachers are pouring their hearts into the students the way they do.

Whether it’s the welcoming smile you encounter at the front desk, the hugs and chatter while awaiting class to start, or the inspiration they share with the class… It’s all rather life changing. Each teacher leaves me with the encouragement to want to be a better person the moment I walk out the door. Love, change, acceptance, empowerment, and connection are just a few of the things illustrated to the students!

After moving to California from Tennnesse, I find myself constantly missing my family, but the one I have found at Radiant has blessed me beyond belief. I can’t thank Radiant enough for being such a safe, fun, and beautiful environment for all of us.

How Radiant Hot Yoga changed my life... Interview with Erik V.

What benefits were you hoping to receive from your yoga practice?

I originally started practicing yoga as a method to get a low impact workout where I could also focus on time for myself and my thoughts.” – Erik V.

How has yoga and your practice exceeded your expectations?

I have been practicing for about four years and when I first started I would have never imagined the impact yoga has had on my life. I once injured myself three weeks before a marathon and ended up training only on my mat. Not only did I finish the race I ran for a PR.” – Erik V.

How has yoga benefitted you off the mat?

This may sound cliché however yoga has brought to my heart more love, more life, more patience and the importance of breathing. I am also a triathlete and the practice of controlled breathing in the hot room has made training much easier.” – Erik V.

Do you notice a change in your physical, mental, emotional and or spiritual body from a regular yoga practice?

I absolutely have noticed a positive change and more focused thinking. Yoga has certainly helped in my efforts to “let it go” and to be in the moment.” – Erik V.

Have you tried other styles of yoga? What makes Radiant Hot Yoga your preferred place of practice?

I have tried Bikram and liked it, however I prefer the pace and challenge of the Radiant flow.” – Erik V.
