When did you first start doing yoga?

“I first started yoga in April of 2014.” – Nick

How has yoga changed your life? (your mood, body, stress level, etc)

“Yoga has changed my life immensely.

I feel happier and stronger both mentally and physically.” – Nick

Why do you think everyone should try hot yoga?

Radiant Hot Yoga has changed me mainly mentally.

I come out after every class feeling happier and grateful for everything I have.

The physical development has been huge as well, I feel much stronger and I am a lot more flexible.” – Nick

What makes Radiant Hot Yoga so special?

Radiant is so special because it is such a welcoming environment!

I walk into Radiant knowing that a great class is in store. All of the teachers are so encouraging and the overall vibe of the studio is awesome.” – Nick

What advice do you have for new students who want to try hot yoga?

When I first started all I knew about were the physical benefits. People should try yoga not only for the tremendous changes they will see in their body, but the transformation that we all see mentally.” –  Nick

What is your favorite posture and why?

My favorite poses are fixed firm and half moon.” –  Nick

How Radiant Hot Yoga changed my life... Interview with Jamie G.

When did you first start doing yoga?

“I started yoga in 2002.

I started with basic vinyasa yoga an did not enjoy it very much. Then someone introduced me to bikram yoga an I loved the heat. So I started practicing regularly. – Jamie G.

How has yoga changed your life? (your mood, body, stress level, etc)

I know I am a more healthier an balanced women when I practice. Yoga has become my spiritual an emotional healing place. – Jamie G.

Why do you think everyone should try hot yoga?

“Yoga is perfect place to quiet the mind. It is a place where you can get a total body work out while being completely quite. It helps with nearly every ailment one has. I suffer from arthritis, an it helps so much with my pain. The heat heals. – Jamie G.

What makes Radiant Hot Yoga so special?

“What makes radiant so special are te teachers. They give so much love a encouragement to their students.

They are the reason I come everyday.

It’s truly my home away from home ❤️ – Jamie G.

What is your favorite posture and why?

“I love bow pose an eagle.

But I love them all. It’s a fabulous sequence an I crave it everyday. –  Jamie G.

Meet one of Radiant Hot Yoga’s inspiring teachers, Skyler

How long have you been practicing yoga?

“I have been practicing yoga for 8 years.” – Skyler

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

“I love the impact you can make on someone by teaching their class, as well as the connections you make with your students.” – Skyler

What changes do you see in students who practice hot yoga regularly?

“I see physical changes in the body such as losing weight, building muscle, toning the body, and becoming more flexible. Most importantly the mental benefits I see are the students are much happier and brighter. Less stressed and can handle situations easier.” – Skyler

What inspired you to teach?

“What has inspired me to teach was that yoga healed me from my past.

Yoga has also brought so much peace and happiness to my life, and has inspired me to be the best version of my self. It has taught me to see beauty with in my imperfections.

As well as to trust in my journey and know that i am exactly where I am supposed to be.” – Skyler

What makes Radiant so radiant in your opinion?

“Radiant Hot Yoga is so radiant because of the people who surround it; teachers and students.

I feel that the teachers and staff are always so happy and inspiring.

And the students are so motivational and and amazing. We all unite and work as one. We empower each other to do our bests.” – Skyler

How has becoming a teacher changed your life?

“It has encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone.

Being the youngest certified hot yoga teacher, I had to make my own path, and create my own standard and expectations. And even though it feels very natural for me to teach yoga, I use the same principles in other areas in my life.

Knowing that I would be teased by my peer and looked down by my elders I had to believe in myself and believe in what I am doing.” – Skyler

What advice do you have to students that are new to hot yoga?

“My advice would be to take as many breaks as you need by lying down on your mat. Drinking plenty of water before and after class. Pouring water on your head during class.

Trying to come as much as possible, at least 4-7 times a week.

But most of all leaving all judgement and expectations outside of the room. We are all here to heal our minds, bodies, and spirits.” – Skyler
