How Radiant Hot Yoga changed my life... Interview with Sarah
What made you try yoga? What made you continue to practice regularly?
”I first tried yoga mainly because of the injuries I have acquired from previous workouts. I lifted heavy and pushed too hard and eventually got hurt. I couldn’t workout anymore, really, without feeling the pain from the injuries. I was somewhat hopeless and I loved a hard/intense workout. Not being able to do what I loved was torture. I went to so many people to get help and nothing really worked and not many people could tell me what was wrong. I tried yoga and soon enough my pain/injuries slowly decreased. I wouldn’t say I am 100% yet, but I am now hooked on yoga and can’t wait to continue on restoring my body and health. Plus, yoga is a challenge, and I love challenges!” – Sarah D.
What makes Radiant Hot Yoga so special?
“Radiant Hot Yoga is great because, first, the people here are so great. Everyone knows you by name and you are always greeted when you walk in with a hug or a friendly welcome. I have gotten to know so many great poeple here, I would say some of the sweetest people I have come across at any yoga studio. Also, I really like the combination of standing balancing/holding poses, along with a yoga flow. Radiant offers both in the same class!” – Sarah D.
Why should everyone try hot yoga?
”I would say if you are dealing with an injury, or pain, or some ailment that bothers you, hot yoga could be a big help to you. The heat really helps to open up your body and get some movement and you feel so detoxed and rejuvenated afterwards. Also, if you want a challenge for your body and your mind, the heat mixed with the postures will sure to challenge you!” – Sarah D.
What advice do you have for new students?
”I would say to give hot yoga a decent try, not just once but for a couple weeks. Get the feeling of how great you can move after those weeks, and how you can handle the heat much better and how you don’t feel the same without going to a class. You’ll start to notice the strength with your core and balance. Not to mention the techniques of breathing and mental clarity you’ll learn will apply to your everyday life.” – Sarah D.
What is your favorite yoga pose and why?
”I like the hands to feet pose. Its a challenge for me do and it gives my back a really nice stretch before getting into all the other postures.” – Sarah D.
