Gratitude is a huge part of my life, and I always say that we’re too blessed to be stressed!
Still, I know that anxiety and stress can happen to anyone, and I’ve had my fair share of it! Once I implemented gratitude and affirmations into my daily routine, it was a complete 180. The little things no longer get to me, and I put my focus instead in things that will lift me up and fulfill my life!
Gratitude also goes hand-in-hand with yoga, a practice that has been around for thousands of years. Yoga incorporates movements, breathing, and mindfulness to help you center your heart and find that elusive mind-body connection. It also helps you to feel thankful for your body and all that it can do! Yoga is a practice for everyone and anyone, and each person goes at their own pace, which makes it so wonderful! When you’re going through the poses and guiding your breathing, you are sending energy to a central point, and it fills you with a sense of compassion, gratitude, and well-being that you just don’t get anywhere else.
Plus, yoga can be incorporated into a healthy active lifestyle to help you build muscle and improve flexibility. I know it’s doing great things for me!
Speaking of being grateful, it’s amazing how many men and women put their lives on the line for us every day. With Veterans Day approaching in the United States, it’s a great time to do something to give back to those who serve the country valiantly.
Operation Gratitude does just that. Through this organization you can donate personal care items, food, letters of appreciation and more to veterans, wounded heroes, and their caregivers. What a great thing to do!
I’m going to flow out of my downward dog and get ready to send some goodies over to Operation Gratitude.
Come join your yoga family for our first Radiant Social Night at Gratitude Cafe Newport Beach Ca. Share some food, laughter and fun. Let’s connect and enjoy a wonderful evening.
