Julie has practiced many different types of yoga on and off for more than 10 years, as well as every exercise fad from leotards and leg warmers in the 80’s, to the recent Crossfit craze.
Several years ago she suffered from terrible back and hip pain and could only do yoga once her body was warmed up with some other type of exercise.
Her friend suggested Radiant Hot Yoga and promised it was super clean and didn’t smell horrible like many other hot yoga studios. She gave it a try and was instantly drawn to the challenging practice and spiritual aspect absent from all the other yoga classes she had tried.
With two teenage daughters growing up and leaving the nest, it was time to try to fill her own cup once again. She took a leap of faith out of her comfort zone and participated in the 2016 teacher training. The experience transformed the way she approaches life and interacts with those around her. When she watches and guides Radiant yogis during her classes she is filled with such joy. (She equates the feeling to what a symphony conductor must feel during concerts.) No matter how she feels when she begins teaching a class she is filled is peace, calm and serenity at the conclusion.
