As a young child growing up in Poland I have always known that I wanted to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I have always felt a wonderful satisfaction when I was able to help someone out or inspire them to live a more authentic life. Living in two different countries has been a blessing but also has come with many challenges.
I moved to the United States at the age of 19 and had to learn a new language, develop new relationships and go through experiences that were very challenging for me. This caused me great anxiety as well as some depression. After two years of struggling I found yoga and through my practice a transformation began to occur and I was able to start to climb my mountain of self-doubt and fear. My daily practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible, become fearless and comfortable in my own skin. Yoga has given me the ability to gain self-confidence on and off my mat. When I first started practicing yoga I could barely do one push up without my arms trembling and my wrists hurting and now I’m not only doing push-ups but I’m floating effortlessly through the flows.
When I track my yoga journey I’m reminded of the limitless possibilities life has for me. The physical changes that my body went through are just an outward reflection of what is happening to me internally. Yoga has inspired me to live each moment mindfully, to embrace my imperfections and to reside in a gentle strength of a higher self.
Almost 2 years into my journey of healing I’m deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers, Darlene and Skyler, have shared with me and I realized that I wanted to share this gift with others. I hope to inspire my students to live their truth, practice self-care and learn to let go of anything that is blocking them from reaching their full potential.
